BioPeer is a multi-platform desktop application that allows bioinformatics researchers to share their project data with colleagues in fast and secure way. It will use high throughput UDP based reliable data transfer protocol for data transfers. Data is encrypted before transferring in order to prevent data leakage. Another advantage of BioPeer is that it will have peer-to-peer data exchange. Users can manage their projects, data files, authorized researchers and bandwith allocation easily.
